InitialConditions

InitialConditions[sys,dminit,tinit]

returns equations specifying initial conditions for the atomic system sys given by the matrix dminit at initial time tinit.

Details and Options

  • The atomic system sys is specified as a list of AtomicState objects.
  • InitialConditions takes the same options as DensityMatrix (with the exception of the option TimeVariable), with the default value for each being Automatic, indicating that the corresponding default value for DensityMatrix is used.
  • An initial density matrix with atoms evenly distributed over states considered to be ground states can be obtained with TransitRepopulation[sys,1].
