PolarizationVector

PolarizationVector

is an option for OpticalField and related functions that specifies the reference light polarization direction.

Details and Options

  • PolarizationVector is specified as a three-component Cartesian or spherical vector.
  • A value of Automatic means that the default value for OpticalField is used.
  • In the "AngleEllipticity" parameterization, the angle α refers to the angle between the polarization vector and the major axis of the polarization ellipse.
  • The specified value for PolarizationVector must be perpendicular to the value for PropagationVector.
